My handmade pottery mugs are made in limited edition collections and small batches. I use stoneware clay and throw them on the pottery wheel. They are then trimmed to include a foot, and handles are pulled and attached. Following the bisque firing, each mug is hand-glazed using several different colours to create the effect and design I want to achieve. These are fired to 1220º celsius. I design mugs that sit beautifully in the hand and are comfortable to use and enjoy. The addition of the foot is not only for aesthetics and comfort but also to stack the mugs for storage.
Care
Always handwash handmade pottery carefully though my stoneware pottery mugs can be used in the dishwasher. Handwashing will help to maintain the longevity of the colours. You can also microwave the mugs but again, it is best not to.
